The Weight of Valor Project is dedicated to making high quality, handmade weighted blankets free of charge for combat veterans who are having service-connected mental health issues.

We wish we could help everyone, but our resources must go where they are desperately needed. We must ensure that the needs of combat veterans are being met.
The common definition of a combat veteran is: one who has a military record indicating they received Hostile Fire Pay, Imminent Danger Pay, or were deployed to and served in a combat zone. This applies to Reservists and National Guard.
VA - recognized combat zones:
- World War II
- Korean War
- Vietnam War
- Grenada
- Desert Storm (Gulf War)
- GWOT (Iraq/Afghanistan)
The following documentation is required:
- DD 214 showing deployment to a combat zone
