SFC Arriola retired from the Army after 24 years as a combat medic and a tour in Iraq. He's a Dallas Cowboys fan, and he gave us a jersey to use in his blanket. We cut the back out and used it as a center panel. We also cut the stars off the sleeves. We added the patriotic twisted border because of "America's Team." The blue hearts in heartbeat print fabric and the Army border represent his service as a medic.

SFC Aaron Henderson from Maine was a Green Beret who was KIA in Afghanistan in 2012. His friends, family and his hometown hold an annual event in his honor. We were asked to donate raffle items, but Peggy offered to make a quilt for Aaron's mother instead. It will be presented to her during the 2022 event opening ceremony.
Our name and funds were not used to produce this quilt.

Quilt Raffle Update
August 10, 2022
The winner of the quilt raffle asked to be anonymous and for it to be donated to a veteran. We donated it to the Wichita Chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. They have decided to pass it on to a lady veteran who they helped after she was shot and left for dead by her boyfriend.

We're so excited to welcome an extremely talented volunteer to the team! Fran is a quilter who is VERY good with a longarm quilting machine. This is a quilt that she and Peggy made together (Peggy made the top layer star design and Fran made the circles and lines design). Fran will be helping us make quilts that we'll sell to raise funds.
